List of The Best Skateparks In Charlotte
Open space, barricaded, wider, more minor, destination park, community skating zone – you name it. I’m pretty sure I have included it in the list. Here are a few suggestions for all skaters and skateboard-enthusiast who want to explore the hot skateboarding spots in Charlotte, NC.
1. Andy Hovis Community skatepark
Andy Hovis Community Skatepark was founded not so long ago in Cherryville by a young man named Andy Hovis and a few others.
Andy Hovis died in a car crash in 2010. Later, in his memory, that skatepark being the zone where young Andy would come to skate and hang out with his friends was named after him.
The Hovis family requested to Cherryville City Council to rename the park. The appeal was approved by July 2011, and the park’s name was officially changed to “Andy Hovis Community Park.”
